(Although I'm glad I didn't spot this view of Grand Canyon Village before I went there last year!)
I've done this for a few years but only recently discovered the little orange man on the slider that you can plant anywhere on a map and it takes you to 'street view' which is almost like being there, but much cheaper and far less tiring!
As Google cameras map the world's highways they take some 'interesting' pics en route. From hold-ups to bicycle crashes, from silliness to stick-ups... it's like a snapshot of the world... What? Oh, it is a snapshot of the world?
So before you find your Wonderwoman impersonation captured forever, or put a cat on your head, check out The Telegraph's Google Street View Funny Images, or, for cringy exposures you'd find it difficult to explain for your loved ones try: 30 Most Embarrassing Street View Shots.
Many spark the imagination - what on (Google) Earth is going on? The Worldwide Interweb includes one frogman chasing another down the street. And this 'naked man in car boot' was one of several that have made the newspapers.
Thank goodness I was not at home the day Google visited my road. That's just all the neighbours waving!
